Wild West Ladies Tournament 2022

The Tanunda Bowling Club held their Annual Ladies Day Tournament on Friday 25th February 2022 and the theme was the ‘Wild West’

Teams from Ardrossan to Mannum to Goolwa and everywhere in between joined the fun day of bowling. Many staying in the Valley and enjoying the regions delights.

The 22nd team was some larrikin locals the ‘Tanunda Queens’ who spiced it up for everyone.

The Ardrossan number two team won the tournament, with Arthurton coming runners up and Kapunda in third.

Presentations were made by Julia Smith from Elders, who generously sponsored the day, and Lou Ross (Tournament Director and President TBC)

A roll to the Spider started the day with $125 raised for Barossa Area Fundraisers for Cancer.

Young Oliver Menzel had the participants mesmerized  with a Whip Cracking demonstration supported by his proud Grandmother Helen Menzel.

Many got into the spirit of the day dressing in Wild West costumes. Two of the 4 Ardrossan teams participating on the day, took out the best dressed and runners up prizes– must be the sea air!

Lou Ross (TBC President) was well pleased with the outcome of the day as a fundraiser for the club and noted the importance of infrastructure and facilities that continue to allow our local club to hold such successful days into the future
